Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking structural engineers with the ability to design and analyze buildings and steel structures to ensure they are safe, durable, and capable of withstanding various environmental factors. The primary objective is to create functional and economical structures that meet specific requirements throughout their intended lifespan. Responsibilities: Working closely on construction plans with clients, architects Preparing reports, designs and drawings Making calculations about loads and stresses Assessing both immediate and long-term loads and demands to maintain structural integrity and performance. Demonstrating confidence in their work, while also having the clarity to consult with authorities whenever doubts arise without fail. Executing tasks efficiently, intelligently, and with a clear understanding, minimizing mistakes through proper verification and communication. Using computer simulations to predict how structures will react under different conditions Inspecting unsafe buildings and recommending options for repairs or demolition Labour scheduling and monitoring workers through phone calls. Visiting the panchayat, municipality, or other relevant offices is mandatory when necessary. Requirements: Need a degree or postgraduate qualification in structural engineering with minimum 1 years of experience in construction firms. Hands-on experience with ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or other relevant structural design software and AutoCAD software. Good communication, interpersonal and technical skills. Good problem-solving skills and Familiarity with computers and software programme The ability to explain design plans, ideas and meet deadlines Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay Performance bonus Education: Master's (Preferred) Experience: Structural engineer: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Driving Licence (Preferred) Location: Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred) Work Location: In person
