Structural Engineer 4 (Bridges)

As a Structural Engineer at CDM Smith, you would play a crucial role in contributing to the company's mission by: - Designing simple and complex roadway bridges, including grade separations, stream crossings, and bridge rehabilitations. - Designing transportation-related structures such as culverts and retaining walls. - Collaborating closely with the drafting team in developing structural plans. - Preparing structural analysis and design reports. - Conducting bridge load ratings. - Independently reviewing structural analysis and design of various transportation structures. - Engaging in knowledge and skill exchange with the team. Minimum Qualifications: - Post Graduation in Structural Engineering - Good communication skills with fluency in English - 6-10 years of experience in the analysis and design of Bridges, Grade separators, flyovers, underpasses, interchanges, Pedestrian bridges, skywalks, etc. - Proficiency in AASHTO, British, and Euro standards - Expertise in designing Reinforced Concrete Bridges, Structural steel bridges, and pre-stressed concrete bridges - Experience working on projects in the Middle East and US - Proficient in AASHTO LRFD bridge design methods - Conversant with seismic design of bridge structures - Familiarity with structural steel member and connection design - Capable of Shoring Design, Assessment of Bridge Rating, Design of light poles, and signage gantries - Software Exposure: Proficient in Finite Element Analysis, Modeling & Analytical Skills with specific knowledge in Staad Pro, Midas Civil, CSI Bridges, SAP, and ETABS Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working on projects with Ashghal, RTA, etc., and familiarity with respective delivery requirements - Proficiency in developing macros/programming and creating routines using Mathcad - Certifications like PE, CEng, etc. - Experience with OpenBridge, AutoCAD, and MicroStation Amount Of Travel Required: 0% CDM Smith may require background checks, including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc., and may conduct drug testing for designated positions.
