Structural Design (Assistant Manager)

Role Overview: You will be responsible for supporting the structural design team by reviewing and managing engineering deliverables from consultants. This includes reviewing design basis reports (DBRs), structural models, calculations, detailed drawings, and Good for Construction (GFC) drawings. Additionally, you will assist in developing technical specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), and structural quantity estimates. Your role may also involve participating in value engineering studies and comparative cost evaluations. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain well-organized records for all structural deliverables such as DBRs, soil reports, calculations, shop drawings, and models to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility. - Prepare accurate estimates of structural material consumption at different project stages, including pre-concept. - Check structural designs for compliance with various criteria like DBR, loading criteria, architectural intent, services layout, site conditions, soil strata, and cost expectations. - Create reports and presentations related to structural engineering for internal updates and management review. - Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, site engineers, costing, and contracts teams to ensure the smooth execution of design intent. - Conduct internal design reviews, suggest improvements, and document findings for future refinements. - Visit project sites as necessary to verify execution based on GFC drawings and assist in resolving on-site structural issues promptly. - Assist in resolving Requests for Information (RFIs) and site-related structural issues in a timely manner. Qualification Required: - Proficiency in software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RCDC, and strong skills in MS Excel and MS Office. - In-depth knowledge of relevant IS codes such as IS 456, 13920, 1893, 16700, 800. - Ability to consistently deliver accurate results on time, take ownership of tasks, and follow and enhance internal standards. - Understanding of company goals, project objectives, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions. - Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, collaboration, and openness to new ideas and ways of working.
