STP OPERATOR

The STP/ETP/RO Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the sewage treatment plant (STP), effluent treatment plant (ETP), and reverse osmosis (RO) systems to ensure proper treatment of wastewater and supply of treated water as per regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Plant Operation

• Operate STP, ETP, and RO systems as per standard operating procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of pumps, blowers, mixers, aeration tanks, clarifiers, filters, and RO membranes.
• Check and maintain proper flow, pressure, and treatment cycles.

2. Monitoring & Testing

• Monitor pH, DO, MLSS, TDS, COD, BOD, turbidity, and other parameters.
• Perform daily sampling and basic lab tests.
• Maintain records of inlet and outlet water quality.

3. Maintenance

• Perform routine cleaning of screens, filters, diffusers, sand/carbon filters, and chemical dosing systems.
• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.
• Conduct RO membrane cleaning (CIP) and chemical dosing adjustments.

4. Log Book & Documentation

• Maintain daily operational logs for STP/ETP/RO.
• Record chemical consumption, sludge disposal, meter readings, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure treated water meets pollution control norms.
• Follow all safety practices and use proper PPE.
• Handle chemicals safely (coagulants, flocculants, disinfectants, antiscalants, etc.).

6. Housekeeping & General Duties

• Maintain cleanliness around plant areas.
• Coordinate with maintenance, utility, and EHS teams.
• Report abnormalities and breakdowns immediately.

Qualifications & Skills

• ITI / Diploma / 12th pass (environmental, mechanical, or related fields preferred).
• 1–5 years of experience in STP/ETP/RO operation (freshers can also be trained).
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
• Ability to understand technical instructions and maintain records.

Additional Requirements

• Willing to work in shifts.
• Physically fit to handle plant operations.
• Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical equipment is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,630.91 - ₹13,500.00 per month
