Job Description

Role & responsibilities Job Summary: The STP In-Charge will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of a 9 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) . This role involves managing plant efficiency, ensuring environmental compliance, leading a team, and optimizing operational processes to meet performance targets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plant Operations & Performance Management Ensure efficient operation of the 9 MLD STP to meet discharge and treatment standards. Supervise and control treatment processes, including screening, aeration, biological treatment, sedimentation, sludge management, and disinfection . Monitor key parameters such as BOD, COD, MLSS, DO, TSS, and pH levels to maintain optimal plant performance. Oversee the operation of SCADA/PLC automation systems for real-time monitoring and process control. 2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for pumps, blowers, motors, aerators, and other equipment. Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure plant efficiency. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues in the plant. 3. Regulatory Compliance & Environmental Standards Ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board (PCB) norms and government regulations. Maintain records for environmental audits and coordinate with authorities during inspections. Implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols as per industry standards. 4. Team Leadership & Training Lead and manage a team of shift in-charges, operators, and technicians . Allocate responsibilities and oversee shift-wise operations. Conduct training programs for staff on best practices, safety, and emergency procedures . 5. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant performance, energy consumption, sludge disposal, and chemical usage. Submit compliance reports to higher management and regulatory bodies. Optimize operational costs and suggest improvements for process efficiency. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications & Skills: Education: Diploma/Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field . Experience: 5 to 7 years in STP/ETP operations with experience handling a 9 MLD or higher capacity plant . Location : Balotra, Rajasthan
