Stores Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against invoices or other supporting documents.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of goods within the warehouse or storage area, following 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Monitor inventory levels and participate in regular stocktaking activities to reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare outgoing records by picking, packing, and labeling items according to company procedures.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries efficiently.
• Receive and process returns or exchanges from customers or suppliers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, delivery challans, and adjustments, using ERP systems.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any discrepancies identified through the ERP platform.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards related to inventory and warehouse management.
• Keep the warehouse or storage areas clean, organized, and safe at all times, maintaining 5S standards.
• Implement and adhere to proper storage and handling techniques to prevent damage to goods.
• Dispose of damaged, obsolete, or expired items according to company guidelines.
• Collaborate with colleagues in procurement, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and accurate information flow through ERP systems.
• Assist in fulfilling internal requests for materials or products as needed.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold a high standard of professionalism and workplace discipline.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Any graduate; additional education or certifications in logistics, inventory management, or ERP systems is a plus.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of 5S methodology and experience implementing lean warehouse practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
