About The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on Retail Store Manager to lead a high-traffic store in India. You will own daily store operations, build high-performing teams, and deliver consistent sales growth while upholding merchandising standards, loss prevention, and customer delight. This on-site role is ideal for an ambitious retail operator who thrives on measurable results and servant leadership.Role & Responsibilities
- Drive store sales and KPI performanceset targets, track daily/weekly results, and execute action plans to hit revenue and conversion goals.
- Lead store operations including cash management, POS reconciliation, opening/closing procedures, and compliance with retail SOPs.
- Manage inventory control: oversee receiving, stock replenishment, cycle counts, and shrinkage-reduction programs.
- Execute visual merchandising and local merchandising plans to maximize product visibility and seasonal promotions.
- Coach, schedule, and develop store staffconduct regular performance reviews, deliver training, and maintain staffing levels for peak periods.
- Own store-level P&L and cost controlsoptimize labour, margins, and vendor coordination to improve profitability.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven retail store management experience with responsibility for sales targets and daily store metrics (KPI-driven).
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock audits, and shrinkage prevention.
- Hands-on experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and cash reconciliation procedures.
- Track record of managing store P&L, labour scheduling, and margin optimisation.
- Demonstrable skills in visual merchandising and execution of promotional campaigns.
- Customer-focused with experience resolving escalations and improving in-store NPS or CSAT metrics.
Preferred
- Experience with retail ERP or merchandising platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Retail, or similar).
- Exposure to omnichannel operations (click & collect, ship-from-store) and local store marketing.
- Retail management certification or diploma.
