Store Incharge

Job Title: Store Incharge – Construction Company

Experience Required:

Minimum 1-5 year in Store/Inventory management (Construction industry preferred)

Job Summary:

The Store Incharge will be responsible for managing all construction material inventory, maintaining proper records, ensuring timely availability of materials at the site, and coordinating with vendors, site engineers, and management for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Stock Management

• Maintain daily stock registers (inward/outward entries).
• Monitor material consumption at the site.
• Maintain minimum stock levels to avoid shortages.
• Conduct physical stock verification regularly.

Material Handling

• Check and verify the quality & quantity of materials received.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and stacking of construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, tools, etc.)
• Issue materials to site teams against proper requisition.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), issue slips, and return slips.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with the procurement/purchase team for material requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
• Communicate shortages or material issues to the Project Manager/Site Engineer.

Tools & Machinery Tracking

• Maintain records of tools, machinery & equipment issued to workers.
• Track return of tools and report any loss/damage.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure store area cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Prevent material wastage and pilferage.
• Follow company procedures for stock control.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of construction materials.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, inventory software preferred).
• Strong record-keeping and documentation ability.
• Good communication & coordination skills.
• Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
