Job Summary

The Dark Store In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a micro-fulfillment center (dark store) to ensure smooth order processing, accurate inventory management, timely dispatch, and high operational efficiency. This role requires strong multitasking ability, leadership skills, and experience in fast-paced retail or e-commerce environments.

Key Responsibilities Store & Operations Management

  • Oversee end-to-end functioning of the dark store, including inbound, picking, packing, and outbound operations.
  • Ensure daily order fulfillment targets are met with accuracy and speed.
  • Create and maintain store SOPs for operations, safety, and hygiene.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels, replenish inventory, and coordinate with procurement team.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Manage and supervise dark store staff including pickers, packers, and delivery partners.
  • Assign tasks, manage shift schedules, and ensure productivity standards are met.
  • Provide training to new and existing team members.

Customer Order Execution

  • Ensure orders are picked accurately and dispatched within SLA timelines.
  • Coordinate with last-mile delivery teams or third-party logistics partners.
  • Resolve order-related issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.

Performance & Reporting

  • Track daily KPIs such as pick rate, order accuracy, dispatch time, and shrinkage.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports for management.
  • Use inventory/operations software to update data in real time.

Required Skills & Qualifications Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Business, Logistics, Retail Management, or relevant fields.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in operations, warehousing, retail management, or e-commerce fulfillment centers.
  • Experience managing teams in high-volume environments.

Key Skills

  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of inventory management tools and WMS.
  • Strong communication and people-handling ability.
  • Ability to work under tight timeline and handle peak operational loads.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain and last-mile logistics.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
