Job Description

As a Store Incharge, your role involves managing and overseeing all activities within the raw material and finished goods stores. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient material flow, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of production processes. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials such as raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished goods. - Implement and enforce proper storage procedures for the safety, security, and preservation of all stored items. - Conduct regular physical stock checks, reconcile them with inventory records, and resolve discrepancies. - Coordinate with the purchase department for timely material procurement and follow up on deliveries. - Issue materials to production departments based on authorized requisitions and maintain accurate issue records. - Organize and optimize storage space for efficient material handling and accessibility. - Monitor stock levels, identify potential shortages or overstock situations, and take proactive measures. - Prepare various inventory reports including stock summaries, consumption reports, and discrepancy reports. - Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all store transactions. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the store. - Coordinate with logistics for the dispatch of finished goods as per delivery schedules. - Supervise and guide store assistants or helpers. - Participate in periodic audits of the store and inventory management processes. - Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures related to store management. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Materials Management, or Supply Chain Management. Relevant experience may be considered for Diploma holders. - 0-3 years of experience as a Store Incharge or similar role. - Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices. - Proficiency in maintaining inventory records manually and using computerized systems/software. - Ability to handle and manage materials efficiently and safely. - Basic computer literacy, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel). - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Familiarity with pressure diecasting materials and processes would be an advantage. Preferred Skills (Optional): - Knowledge of material inspection procedures. - Experience in vendor management and coordination.
