Store Assistant

Job Description

Previous experience in kitchen or warehouse settings is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Basic numeracy skills to manage inventory and stock levels. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Immediate Joiners preferred. Receive deliveries and ensure all supplies are checked for quality and quantity. Organize and store items in their appropriate locations (dry storage, refrigerated, frozen, etc.). Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with stocktaking. Rotate stock according to FIFO (First In, First Out) to ensure the use of older stock first. Monitor inventory levels and alert the supervisor or manager when stock needs to be replenished. Ensure kitchen staff receive the correct supplies, such as ingredients, utensils, cleaning materials, and equipment. Deliver supplies to kitchen stations or other designated areas when required. Ensure that all products are stored according to health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storage areas, following all food safety guidelines. Check expiration dates on perishable items and ensure proper disposal of expired stock. Accurately record all incoming stock and maintain an organized inventory log. Assist with inventory audits and ensure that all records are up to date. Assist the kitchen team with other tasks as required, such as equipment handling, stock rotation, or cleaning tasks. Help with the delivery of kitchen supplies during busy times or special events.
