Store Assistant Manager / Officer

As a Store Assistant Manager / Officer at a Steel Manufacturing / Heavy Engineering company in Gandhidham, Gujarat, your role involves efficiently managing store operations to ensure smooth functioning and uninterrupted support to production and maintenance departments. Your responsibilities will include: - Supervising daily store activities such as material receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance. - Maintaining accurate stock records in ERP / Excel systems. - Ensuring proper identification, labeling, and binning of all materials. - Monitoring inventory levels and preparing reports for reorder and consumption. - Coordinating with purchase, production, and accounts departments for seamless operations. - Managing store audits, physical stock verification, and reconciliation. - Handling documentation including MRN, GRN, Issue Slips, and Return Notes. - Ensuring proper storage of consumables, spares, tools, lubricants, and raw materials. - Implementing 5S and safety practices in the store area. - Supervising store staff and ensuring timely material availability to user departments. To excel in this role, you should have strong knowledge of store and material management systems, proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or similar software, and a sound understanding of steel plant or heavy engineering inventory systems. Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage fast-moving spare parts and consumables effectively. Qualifications: - Graduate / Diploma in any discipline (preferably in Material Management or Engineering). - 5-10 years of experience in Store / Material Department, preferably from Steel / Heavy / Engineering Industry.
