Job Purpose

To efficiently manage store operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and documentation of materials in compliance with company procedures and safety standards, ensuring uninterrupted support to production and maintenance departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store activities including material receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance.
• Maintain accurate stock records in ERP / Excel systems.
• Ensure proper identification, labeling, and binning of all materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and prepare reports for reorder and consumption.
• Coordinate with purchase, production, and accounts departments for smooth operations.
• Manage store audits, physical stock verification, and reconciliation.
• Handle MRN (Material Receipt Note), GRN, Issue Slips, and Return Notes documentation.
• Ensure proper storage of consumables, spares, tools, lubricants, and raw materials as per category.
• Implement 5S and safety practices in the store area.
• Supervise store staff and ensure timely material availability to user departments.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of store and material management systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP , or similar software.
• Sound understanding of steel plant or heavy engineering inventory systems.
• Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle fast-moving spare parts and consumables management.

Qualification and Experience

• Graduate / Diploma in any discipline (preferably in Material Management or Engineering).
• 5 – 10 years of experience in Store / Material Department, preferably from Steel / Heavy / Engineering Industry.

Working Hours

• 8Hours (Shift Duty as per Plant Schedule)
