Storage Engineer - Automation

Job Description Summary: We are looking for an experienced automation engineer with a strong infrastructure background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automating processes and a willingness to learn and work with storage platforms in a multi-petabyte environment. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation for our storage infrastructure consisting of multiple vendor platforms and a variety of geographic locations, focusing on data center but may involve some cloud activities. Job Responsibilities: Drive automation of the implementation, maintenance, and alerting and metrics of the storage environments. Design and implement automated workflows leveraging tools such as Bash, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, etc. Leverage RESTful API integrations for automated orchestration of resources. Automate manual and repetitive operational tasks to reduce overhead and improve reliability Analyze current workflows and infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement. Follow ITIL processes and procedures to ensure proper control of environments is maintained Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in automation and scripting or software development with IaC experience Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python or equivalent General understanding of enterprise NAS. Willingness to be trained to an advanced level. 3 to 5 years of experience in infrastructure automation. Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a global team. Willingness to learn new technologies and skills quickly. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex issues.
