Position SummaryThe Steward/Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest ServiceGreet guests courteously and present menus. Take accurate food and beverage orders. Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner. Address guest queries, requests, and complaints promptly. Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience. Table & Dining Area ManagementSet up tables with cutlery, glasses, napkins, and condiments. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of dining areas. Clear and reset tables after each guest. Food & Beverage HandlingEnsure correct order delivery with proper portioning and presentation. Manage serving stations and stock replenishment. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Operational SupportAssist in opening and closing duties (table setting, cleaning, inventory checks). Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Follow company policies, service standards, and safety protocols. Skills & QualificationsPrior experience as a waiter/steward preferred (but not mandatory). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good personal hygiene and grooming standards. Ability to stand for long periods.
