For more information, visit our website at www.nhrsb.org Description of the Organization The National Human Rights Security Bureau is a non-profit organization registered as a Public Charitable Trust under the Indian Trust Act 1882, with its headquarters in Siddharthnagar District, Uttar Pradesh. The organization's mission is to empower individuals and communities to seek justice and equality while promoting fairness, harmony, and sustainability for all. Guided by the principles of legality, professionalism, and accountability, our vision is to create a society where rights, justice, and well-being are upheld for all individuals without discrimination. Position Overview: The State Secretary holds the authority to oversee and manage the affairs of the National Human Rights Security Bureau (NHRSB) within their designated state. This role is pivotal, as the State Secretary is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of NHRSB's activities at the state level, implementing decisions from the General Secretary/President, and coordinating regional initiatives. The State Secretary acts as the head of the state operations, handling regional officers, district coordinators, and other state-level representatives while reporting to the national headquarters. Key Responsibilities: Lead the state-level activities of NHRSB, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, values, and directives from the General Secretary/President. Oversee and manage regional officers, district coordinators, and operational teams under their jurisdiction within the state. Conduct and supervise human rights programs, and other campaigns, and outreach initiatives within the state. Provide regular reports to the NHRSB headquarters on • state-level operations, challenges, and achievements. Ensure the expansion and growth of NHRSB within the state by promoting membership, setting up regional offices, and increasing public engagement. Serve as the primary point of contact for external engagements and state-level collaborations on behalf of NHRSB. Ensure that all activities within the state comply with NHRSB's internal governance manuals, Trust Deed, and external laws and regulations. Maintain transparency, accountability, and integrity in all state operations. Collaborate with the General Secretary's office and contribute to national-level strategic planning by offering insights from the state's operations. Qualifications: Education: UG/PG Degree in any stream from a recognized college/university in India or abroad or an institution declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A passion for human rights, social justice, and community development. Ability to work independently and manage remote teams. Prior experience in the nonprofit sector or social work is an advantage but not mandatory. Preference will be given to female candidates .
