In this role as a Staff R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will be crucial in designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and components to meet client needs and enhance product offerings. Your deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and experience in project management will be essential to lead projects from concept to production successfully. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to integrating all aspects of the product seamlessly and driving technological advancements. **Responsibilities:** - Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new products. - Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software systems. - Oversee the prototyping and testing of mechanical systems to ensure functionality and reliability. - Document design processes and maintain accurate records of project developments. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). - Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. - Experience with project management and leading engineering teams. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Experience in a specific industry relevant to our products (e.g., aerospace, automotive). - Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL). - Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance in product development. - Experience with Agile methodologies in engineering projects. Your skills in mechanical design, CAD software, project management, collaboration, problem-solving, and industry standards will be crucial to the success of your role. You will utilize these skills daily to create and refine product designs, ensure functionality and reliability, coordinate tasks efficiently, work effectively with other engineers and departments, address design challenges, and maintain compliance throughout the development process.
