Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary QA Automation Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of a state-of-the-art automation framework. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can define and execute a robust automation strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Automation Framework Design and Development: Architect and build a scalable, maintainable, and robust automation framework from the ground up using the latest tools and technologies. Define and implement best practices for test automation, including coding standards, test design, and execution strategies. Ensure the framework supports functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. End-to-End Solution Delivery: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into testable solutions. Design and implement end-to-end testing strategies to validate complex workflows and integrations across systems. Ensure seamless integration of the automation framework with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to QA engineers and developers on automation best practices. Mentor and upskill team members to enhance their technical expertise and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality work. Drive a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within the QA team. Tool and Technology Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in test automation tools and technologies. Evaluate and recommend tools, libraries, and frameworks that align with the organization's needs and goals. Ensure the selected tools integrate effectively with the existing technology stack. Quality Assurance Strategy: Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that includes both manual and automated testing approaches. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the QA process and drive continuous improvement. Identify and mitigate risks related to quality and testing. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables. Communicate progress, challenges, and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Act as a subject matter expert for QA automation and advocate for quality across the organization. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: 8 to 14 years of experience in QA, with at least 4+ years in a QA Architect or similar leadership role. Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch. Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing of complex systems and integrations. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Expertise in automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar. Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) and integrating automation into pipelines. Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) is a plus. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
