Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Calcium chloride (CaCl2) plant by maintaining all control parameters. This includes operating the continuous Calcium Chloride (CaCl) Plant for both liquid and granules, handling the Fluidized Bed Dryer (FBD) for drying CaCl granules, monitoring and operating utilities such as Cooling Tower, HP Steam System, Compressors, Blowers, and Pumps. You will also be responsible for the safe handling of CO gas, HCl, Hydrogen, Chlorine, and CaCl solution and granules as per SOPs. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with Maintenance, Utility, and Quality teams for troubleshooting and preventive actions. - Strictly comply with Safety Systems including PTW (Permit to Work), LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PPE adherence, and emergency handling. - Prepare SOPs for plant operations to meet required quality standards and ensure implementation of approved SOPs. - Identify root causes for unforeseen problems, take immediate precautionary actions, propose solutions to the Section Head/Department Head. - Maintain process parameters, avoid wastage, and maximize recovery to ensure optimized consumption of raw materials and chemicals. - Ensure timely production as per the production plan and coordinate with sales and logistics departments for the timely evacuation of produced material. - Control effluent generation as per organizational and statutory norms, handle them safely following required procedures, propose and ensure implementation of any process or technology modifications. - Adhere to preventive maintenance schedule and autonomous schedule, provide equipment to maintenance in a timely manner. - Develop and implement process modifications, multiskilling, and job redesign to increase workforce productivity at workmen level & shift incharge level. - Ensure adherence to Safety Standards, particularly rules formulated by concerned departments/committees, and address any Safety Observations promptly. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field. - Relevant experience in operating chemical plants, preferably Calcium chloride (CaCl2) plant. - Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a chemical plant environment. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues effectively. - Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams. - Knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules and process optimization techniques would be advantageous.,
