Staff Nurse

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established clinical protocols and hospital policies. They ensure patient safety, deliver compassionate care, and support the medical team in delivering comprehensive health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care based on clinical assessment and individual patient needs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and home care instructions.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or surgeries as needed.
• Assist in emergency care situations using appropriate protocols.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc Nursing)
• License: Registered Nurse with valid [State/National] Nursing Council registration
• Experience: [0–2 years for entry-level; 3+ years for experienced roles]
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
