Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer with hands-on experience in injection moulding operations to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of plastic raw materials (commodity and engineering grades), moulding tools , production processes , and quality standards . This role involves overseeing daily production, troubleshooting process issues, and optimizing efficiency to meet quality and productivity targets. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage daily injection moulding production operations to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. Set up and optimize moulding parameters for different machines and tools. Troubleshoot moulding defects such as short shots, flashing, warpage, and sink marks. Ensure proper material handling, drying, and feeding of various plastic resins , including engineering plastics (e.g., Nylon, ABS, PC, POM, PBT). Monitor and maintain production output while minimizing downtime and scrap. Coordinate with toolroom and maintenance teams for mould changes and preventive maintenance. Implement 5S , lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices on the shop floor. Maintain production reports, shift logs, and ensure compliance with safety and ISO/IATF standards. Collaborate with QA/QC to resolve quality issues and ensure customer requirements are met. Train and guide machine operators on best practices and standard operating procedures. Key Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines (e.g., Arburg, Haitian, Engel, Fanuc). Familiarity with various plastic raw materials (commodity and engineering grades). Good understanding of tool design, mould maintenance , and part dimensional inspection. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and material data sheets . Proficient in using measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.). Exposure to ERP systems , production tracking tools, and basic MS Office skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to improvement.
