Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work within a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build cloud-native applications for the automotive industry. This role demands a strong team player who can work beyond their specialty, contributing to various aspects of the project, from backend development to deployment automation. You will also be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills, helping junior engineers grow while ensuring high standards of code quality and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and Develop Backend Solutions

  : Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture

  : Design and implement a microservices-based architecture, using Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms for efficient data processing.

• API Development

  : Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and other service interfaces to support frontend applications and third-party integrations.

• Code Quality and Best Practices

  : Ensure top-quality code through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.

• Mentorship and Leadership

  : Provide guidance to junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.

• System Performance and Scalability

  : Optimize backend systems to handle growing demand.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

  : Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver complete solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

• Backend Development

  : 5+ years in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript, including deep knowledge of asynchronous programming, closures, and ES6+.

• Microservices Architecture

  : Proven experience designing and deploying microservices with service discovery, load balancing, and API gateways.

• Event-Driven Systems

  : Expertise in building event-driven systems with Kafka or similar platforms, including event sourcing and CQRS.

• API Development

  : Strong experience in RESTful APIs and GraphQL, including API security, versioning, and documentation.

• Database Proficiency

• SQL

  : Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server.

• NoSQL

  : Familiarity with MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.

• Caching

  : Experience with Redis, Memcached, or similar tools.

• Cloud Platforms
