Role Description

This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.

• Location - Bengaluru, India (Hybrid)
• Duration - 12 months

Roles and Responsibilities for Cost Optimization

A Compute and Storage L1 On-Call Support team in India, focused on cost optimization, is the first line of defense for managing and reducing infrastructure costs. Their primary goal is to identify and address incidents and cost savings while maintaining service reliability.

2. Monitoring and Reporting

Dashboard Monitoring: Continuously monitor cost and performance dashboards. They should be trained to identify sudden cost spikes or anomalies that could indicate an unoptimized process or a misconfigured resource.

Basic Reporting: Generate daily or weekly reports on cost-saving opportunities identified and the impact of the implemented optimizations. This provides crucial visibility to management and other teams.

Mandatory Skills :

• Basic automaton skills
• Experience with working on Openshift/Openstack
• Experience working with storage infra [ Netapp / Nimble / PureStorage ..etc]

Good to have Sills :

• Infrastructure Concepts: A strong interest in compute infrastructure, including virtual machines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Storage: Familiarity with basic storage concepts (e.g., NFS, iSCSI).
• Monitoring Tools: Any exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
