SRE Architect

As an Architect at Cvent, you will be responsible for driving the architecture and design of large-scale, Internet-based applications. Working as a key member of the Product Development team, specifically the Architecture team, you will enhance the application architecture and framework. Your tasks will involve researching new tools and technologies, providing recommendations, and actively participating in projects of technical complexity and scalability. - Architect enterprise-level systems focusing on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence, primarily on AWS. - Define and institutionalize SRE frameworks for SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and reliability scorecards. - Set technical direction for CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation). - Architect advanced monitoring, observability, and incident management using tools like Datadog and Prometheus. - Design AI-powered platforms to enhance developer productivity and operational intelligence. - Provide technical consultation and enablement for product teams, including architectural reviews and operational readiness. - Create reusable frameworks through hands-on development, guide technology direction, and steward the Cvent Paved Road. - Partner with security, IT, and business operations, manage technical debt, and build support for proposals. - Evangelize SRE best practices and mentor technical excellence across divisions. - Monitor technical debt and propose remedies and code refactoring. - Ensure architectural standards are followed across all Cvent applications. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. - 14+ years in SRE, cloud architecture, or infrastructure roles with leadership impact. - Deep expertise in AWS, CI/CD, DevOps, containerization, and infrastructure as code. - Proficiency in Python/Go, systems design, troubleshooting, and scaling distributed systems. - Strong knowledge of AI/automation, security, compliance, and databases. - Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders. - Self-motivated, operates with minimal supervision, and contributes to open source in SRE/DevOps/reliability.,
