Tech, MCA, BCA Job Description The Network Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of network systems, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments, as well as providing technical assistance to team members with system and network requests. Role Responsibilities Design and implementation at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security. Strong working level knowledge of Fortinet networking and security solutions, including firewalls, switches, IDS, and web-filtering technologies. Design and implement on-premise hosted and cloud-based solutions for customers using technologies that meet their requirements. IT support relating to issues with the network infrastructure, connectivity, firewalls, and network security tools. Basic understanding of Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc. Understanding of virtualization technologies and networking required to support them: VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft. Strong understanding of connectivity options an solutions including MPLS, direct internet access, broadband, and SD-WAN. Remote access solution support: VPN and remote access VPN technologies Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system and strong knowledge of SNMP monitoring. Design and implement Azure network solutions to support customer public cloud implementations. Competencies and Technical Skills Minimum of 4 years of experience working with the management of Networking: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Router, Switches, Firewall, VPN, Site to site VPN, and handling ISPs Fortinet NSE4 certification is required, Certification is a plus. Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Security, Wireless Firewalls, Advanced Threat Prevention technologies, and NAC solutions like FortiNAC, Cisco ISE, SDN, and Wireless technologies. Excellent team player with problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver within committed timelines. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
