Job Summary: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth and expanding the company’s presence in the institutional and corporate catering sector . This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, preparing proposals, and ensuring profitable sales growth in alignment with company goals. The BDM will collaborate with the operations and culinary teams to deliver customized catering solutions that meet client needs and uphold service excellence. Key Responsibilities: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in institutional, corporate, and industrial catering sectors. Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and market expansion goals. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and potential growth areas. Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations, proposals, and tenders (RFPs/RFQs). Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Negotiate and finalize catering contracts in line with company policies and profitability standards. Coordinate with the operations, culinary, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of catering projects. Monitor client satisfaction and manage account renewals, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities. Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums to enhance brand visibility. Track and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management , Business Administration, or Food & Beverage Management (or related field). 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the Food & Beverage or Catering industry . Proven experience in institutional or industrial catering sales (corporate, government, hospitals, education, or oil & gas sectors preferred). Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Excellent understanding of catering operations and client service standards. Proficiency in MS Office Ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and travel as required.
