Core Duties A System Security administrator is responsible for maintaining and securing Patra s IT infrastructure by managing, implementing, securing and maintaining infrastructure. This includes configuring and managing servers, network, backup solutions, security tools, monitoring systems for suspicious activity, managing user access and permissions, and ensuring that all security protocols are up-to-date. They also conduct regular security audits, respond to security incidents, and work to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Core Duties by Competency: Minimum 6yrs + System admin and security experience. In Depth Knowledge Windows servers administration (AD, DHCP, WDS and DNS.) and Linux administration. VMware Administration and upgradation. Vulnerability resolving skills and experience in rapid7, BitSight, Up guard scanning tools. Configure and monitor SIEM solutions for log analysis and threat detection. Good Knowledge in Scripting. Monitor Server activity using SIEM tools. Regular system administration tasks. Diagnose hardware and software faults and debug operating systems. Research and recommend new technologies to improve systems and infrastructure Investigate and respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Conduct forensic analysis to determine the scope and impact of breaches. Prepare reports on security posture and incident response activities Knowledge of encryption standards, MFA, and access management solutions Familiarity with cloud security and hybrid environments. Familiarity with security frameworks and standards. Implementing and maintaining server hardening standards. Experience with log management and Syslog servers for proactive threat detection Storage Management (Synology, Qnap, NetApp) Strong knowledge of scripting language. Collaborate with security team to remediate identified vulnerabilities. Disaster Recovery Planning SOP document preparation and SOC/ISO audit documentation. Knowledge in Loadbalancer Antivirus (CrowdStrike, Sophos) Backup and Recovery Patch Management Basic Network Administration Security Policy Development Vulnerability Assessment Access Control Management Intrusion Detection/Prevention Compliance Management Expertise in security technologies and threat mitigation strategies Ensure redundancy and stability for all critical systems. Excellent written and verbal communication. Certifications are an added advantage. should be comfortable with rotational shifts (A,B,EST,C). Accountable Ensuring that service processes and procedures are delivered and operated according to professional practices and standards. Managing, processing and coordinating appropriate and timely response to Incidents and Servicedesk requests. Team Player Take ownership for assigned tasks and be proactive. Perform all duties with a level of integrity and honesty that represents Patra in a positive manner. Minimum Requirements At least 6yrs of experience in monitoring and handling server and network related issues. Bachelor s degree, Any IT certifications are added advantage.
