The Opportunity OpenText is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to be a key member of the global Consumer product portal development team. As a Software Engineer you will work as part of a project team and may interact with the business, Architects, Product Owners, and other developers on the team to define the ideal architectural approach. The Software Engineer collaborates with the team in the design of components, will participate fully in the software development lifecycle. This position provides expertise to project teams through all phases, including post-deployment support. We re looking for someone with excellent communication skills to act as a liaison for the Engineering organization in India. This is a rare opportunity to participate from the earliest stages of development of consumer portal and/or mobile application to purchase cyber security products through the portal & manage subscriptions, provisioning and purchase journey for cart management, billing, payment gateway integrations. Due to the diversity and scale of development requirements, applied technologies will span Linux/Windows/Azure/Amazon environments. Candidate subsystem technologies will include React Native, Angular, C#.NET, Android/iOS, Elasticsearch, API Gateway Micro Frontend and many other contemporary software enablers. In this job you will help Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for software enhancements and new products. Deliver customer value by translating business requirements into technologies, iterative deliveries and outcomes that exceed expectations. Ability to write good clean code on a day-to-day basis and actively participates in Code reviews. Identify opportunities and implement processes to improve team productivity Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software Diagnose and resolve software problems in all environments What it takes Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent. 5 to 8 years of software development experience and working in agile environment Strong Object-Oriented design skills 5+ years of React or Angular and C#/.Net, Restfull API. Personal and professional integrity Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Comfort with Software Development Life Cycles, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery. Familiar with Public/hyperscale and private cloud technology savvy (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP) Very strong communication skills Self-directed with consensus building and (data driven) influence management skills OpenTexts efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
