Sr. Software Engineer

Job Title:Senior Network Software Architect Job Summary:As a Technical Leader of a cross functional team, you will work on applications that support Resource Domain and Element Management IP Network using new ways of working (Agile, DevOps, Lean, Human Centred Design), you will provide technical leadership on aspects of the development, operational support and life cycle management of Telstra's IP Network software applications.
Key Responsibilities: Develop scalable and robust software solutions for the Network Inventory project. Ability to understand Complex order of operation development Ability to visualise code through Google Web designer standard Ability to develop in Golang and Python Web development with React JS Golang development for the Temporal Workflow engine Ability to understand workflows and develop workflows into Temporal Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Authentically engage with and influence a multi stakeholder landscape to translate customer needs into leading edge software application products, services or systems that meet Telstras time, cost, and quality standards. Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders, seeking support, direction and buy in to gather deep insights about the challenges and opportunities of our software application technologies and platforms Significantly contribute to continuous improvement initiatives of our systems and processes, to help define `best practice corporate testing standards and drive improved outcomes (e.g. productivity, customer experience and/or profitability) Lead initiatives or components of initiatives in line with the strategic direction of your team/mission, that have a significant degree of impact to the function or cross functionally Essential Skills: Understand of the Googles Web Design standard framework. Web development with React JS Golang development for the Temporal Workflow engine Experience working with large enterprise customers. Proficient with Goland and Python development Experienced with containers and container management:Docker, Docker Compose. Experience with cloud native design and micro services based architecture patterns Database experience with NoSQL and RDBMS:MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and proficiency writing complex SQL queries Can implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo, GIT (BitBucket), CodePipeline, etc Experience working Scrum agile methodology Experience in implementation of Secure Coding standards and practices Agile, DevOps, Lean, Human Centred Design, Jiran and Confluence Advanced oral and written communication skills that can adapt to different teams, individuals, and personality types as well as able to author, review and evaluate technical and non technical documentation. Bachelors degree (or higher) in Engineering/ Computer Science / Information Technology / Telecommunications Desirable Skills: Telecom industry experience Understands DWDM, SONET, SDH, OTN Resource Domain and Element Management IP Network Bamboo, BitBucket Understands security concepts such as SAML, SSO, SSL/TLS, OAUTH Can work proficiently in Linux environments, competent at scripting experience with Telstras New Ways of Working methodology, practices, and mindset:
