Description The Arctera Insight Platform (formally known as Veritas Alta Archiving, or Enterprise vault.cloud) is a foundation for intelligent information lifecycle management. Arctera Insight offers policy-driven retention and multi-faceted classification with default policies helping IT, Legal, and Compliance teams to retain their most important information assets and delete the rest. In this role you will closely work with Business Unit stakeholders, Support, Development, QA and peer teams to operate and support the Arctera Insight cloud environment. This role communicates frequently with team members and stakeholders from the various business units, regarding status; and helps to troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure problems to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction. We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who has experience in keeping large-scale sites more reliable, efficient, and scalable. What you will be doing: Resolve customer escalations related to the infrastructure or application Provide support for our Arctera Insight Platform environment based in Microsoft Azure across several regions. Operating systems include both Windows Server and Linux. Maintain and monitor the environment for successful alert notifications and dashboards. The extended Arctera Insight Platform Operations team provides 7x24x365 support for the application and operating environment. Some off-hours shift work may be required Maintain and create automation to support and perform validation in the environment. PowerShell knowledge and experience is ideal. Provide day to day support of the Cloud platform through ticketed work assignments, as well as providing rotational on-call support Quickly pivot between different requirements and frameworks depending on business need, or system and stakeholder requirements Support code release activities Critical thinking skills to detect and quickly resolve issues in a proactive manner Responsible for complex problem resolution, creating and improving procedures and facilitating communication Ability to function in a DevOps atmosphere Resolve support escalation issues Participate in optimizing on-call rotations and processes What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IS or 5+ years experience in a 24 7 high-availability production environment Strongly prefer prior experience in Microsoft SQL troubleshooting skills, along with ability to write and run basic SQL queries Experience with virtualization and Cloud technologies, especially with Microsoft Azure. Prefer experience or exposure to Active Directory, PowerShell and Microsoft SQL server Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Experience with automation through scripting, especially PowerShell Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong time management skills Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives Strong interpersonal and team building skills Desire to take advantage of training and learning opportunities
