About the Role We are looking for a skilled Senior Python Engineer to join our engineering team and work on complex, high-impact projects for a leading global investment firm. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize back-end applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency. Develop, test, and optimize scalable backend solutions. Collaborate with teams to define software architecture and best practices. Identify and resolve production and non-production application issues. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software. Continuously explore and implement industry best practices in backend development. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in object-oriented programming. 3+ years of experience working with SQL databases. Experience or a strong desire to work with Python. Strong knowledge of software design patterns, application architecture, and best practices. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Nice to Have Knowledge of financial products (bank loans, leveraged loans, fixed income, CLOs, OTC derivatives). Experience with FactSet or similar financial data platforms.
