As the Sr. Program Manager for Operational Efficiency/AI Strategy for Translation Services Operations, you will lead the identification, development, implementation, and maintenance of AI solutions that optimize translation operations and drive business performance improvements across Translation Services. You will focus on leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency, team productivity, and quality execution across our key performance indicators. A critical aspect of this role will be evangelizing AI solutions across the organization and revolutionizing how translation operations teams consume and act on performance data through the development of AI-enhanced solutions, governance mechanisms, and decision support tools.
We are looking for an experienced program manager with AI/ML skills to join our organization to support our daily operations and longer-term strategic planning. This will focus on several aspects: partnering with operational leaders to build a cohesive AI strategy, including developing governance frameworks to ensure responsible deployment, which the organization would apply whilst creating AI-driven solutions; identifying opportunities for continuous improvements, and finding new ways to leverage AI to enhance operations, optimize workflows, and alleviate pain points; own change management - getting buy-in, training teams, and driving adoption of AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have an analytical, and collaborative mindset to deliver results that enhance the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our localization services.
Key job responsibilities
Develop AI strategy and implementation specifically focused on translation operations performance, including:
- Translation workflow optimization and automation
- Operations standardization through anomaly detection
- Increased focus on strategic decision-making at leadership level through predictive analytics
- Regular reporting on AI implementation progress, translating technical concepts into business value for senior leadership
- Develop frameworks to identify routine tasks that can be enhanced or automated through AI
- Ensure AI solutions enhance human expertise, and are governed and maintained smoothly
Technical Focus Areas:
- AI applications for translation process and workflow optimization
- AI-powered anomaly detection and alerting systems
- Integration with Translations Services systems such as ATMS (Amazon Translation Management System)
A day in the life
A typical day for this role involves reviewing translation performance data, using predictive models to surface potential capacity issues or quality concerns to stakeholders for necessary follow-ups. You would also be spending time designing AI-powered workflow optimization tools, and collaborating with our engineering teams to ensure it seamlessly integrates with existing systems and infrastructures. You would regularly be part of/leading discussions over BRDs or implementation plans with senior stakeholders, addressing questions on ROI and change management.
