Job Description

Role & responsibilities The product is WOMENSWEAR. Manage the entire cycle of sampling from PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT to the fit sample. Ongoing role of constant interaction with the home office by sending them latest designs, trends, new fabrics etc. Upon receipt of the tech packs, interact with the vendor factories for sample development, overseeing it all stages from pattern making, garment construction, dummy fit & drape & costing. Once the proto sample is approved, confirm the final costing & the factory for production, till the fit sample is approved. COMPLETE & TOTAL OWNERSHIP OF THE SAMPLE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT. Preferred candidate profile A diploma / degree from a prestigious Design school, with 8-13 years of experience in doing PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT with DESIGN inputs. Should have good knowledge of fabrics, trims, embellishments & accessories. Ability to liaise with the buyers independently, understand the tech packs fully, and get the samples developed as per the buyers' requirements. Good knowledge of costings, time-and-action-calendars is important. MUST HAVE ATLEAST 4-5 YEARS OF RECENT EXPERIENCE INHI FASHION WOMENSWEAR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT.
