We have been mandated by a large global conglomerate for the below mentioned position . Position: Sr Manager /AGM -Payroll Location: Gurgaon Exp : 15+ Job Summary : We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Manager to join our Human Resources team. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll process for 70000+ employees, ensuring timely and accurate compensation, tax compliance, and adherence to relevant labor laws and company policies. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining smooth payroll operations, handling payroll inquiries, and providing reporting to management. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management: Oversee the preparation and processing of the companys payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including bonuses, commissions, overtime, and benefits deductions. Review and process timesheets, attendance records, and any payroll adjustments. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity. Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies. Stay up-to-date with payroll-related legal changes and apply them as required. Process and file payroll tax returns and other related reports on time. Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare and deliver detailed payroll reports for management and internal departments (Finance, HR, etc.). Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues related to employee payments or deductions. Coordinate with Finance to ensure payroll costs are properly allocated and integrated with financial systems. Employee Inquiries & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and timely resolutions. Provide guidance on payroll policies, benefits, tax issues, and deductions. System & Process Improvement: Manage and optimize payroll software and systems to improve efficiency. Recommend and implement improvements to streamline payroll processes and reduce errors. Audit & Documentation: Participate in internal and external payroll audits. Ensure proper documentation of payroll processes for audit compliance and record-keeping.
