Job Summary:As a Senior Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and upgrading our Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, with a specific emphasis on transitioning from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems (versions 7 and 8). Lead the upgrade process from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8, including planning, testing, and execution. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability. Implement security best practices and conduct regular system audits. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ansible. Collaborate with development and operations teams to support applications running on Linux environments. Document system configurations, procedures, and upgrade processes. Provide support and guidance to junior administrators and team members. Stay current with industry trends and updates related to Red Hat and Linux administration. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Linux Administrator, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Proven experience upgrading from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8.
