Sr. Hardware Design Engineer Job description: Location : (Kattankulathur) Chennai Experience : 7 to 12 Years Role & responsibilities 1. Responsible for all electronic related issues/concerns as regards to design & development, integration, quality, reliability, and EMI/EMC issues. 2. Experience in Microcontroller based Product design with High speed board bring up design. 3. Experience in IOT, Digital, Mixed signal design; with automotive/industrial experience. 4. Experience in Power electronics, Switch mode power supply, analog digital circuit design and BLDC Motor control drive. 5. Responsible for new hardware design(Digital, Analog, Low voltage Power supplies), Coordinating within departments and vendors for arranging the Components, PCBs(Bare and assembled), etc. 6. Responsible for completing CE certification of the products. Addressing technical and nontechnical requirements for certification. 7. Responsible for generating and maintaining electronics design documents (Concept/Block diagrams, Power requirements, Schematic, Gerber, BOM, Test plans, Verification and Validation reports. 8. Ensuring that the product development cycle is followed through all the critical steps by continuous monitoring and control. Supporting the Product development team in developing and testing the prototype to achieve the functional and performance requirements. 9. Ensuring war footing response for closure of critical complaints, obsolence requirements. Address queries and improvements raised during manufacturing process. 10. Responsible to create detail designs from the concept/s, to ensure robustness of the respective system by meeting component level and system level design validation requirements. 11. Identifying and achieving the potential cost saving areas of electronic systems without compromising functionality and reliability. 12. Creating value enhancement opportunities for existing and new products by virtue of conceptualizing and developing new features. 13. Maintaining existing hardware systems, providing support and executing changes. 14. Team-up with SW team on Hardware bring up and development. Work with other functional teams to find root-causes and solutions. Work with operations team on manufacturing developed designs and give support for existing developed designs. * In addition to the above you may be given additional responsibilities as per business requirement and your JD can be altered at the discretion of your superiors.
