Job Title: Sr. Engineer Procurement Location: Bangalore Department: Procurement/Purchasing Reports To: Purchasing Manager/Head of Procurement Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, supplier management, and technical expertise in Motors. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, supplier evaluation, and contract management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. 2. Analyze procurement requirements and develop sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery. 3. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough assessments of their technical capabilities, reliability, and quality standards. 4. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules. 5. Collaborate with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to optimize product designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability. 6. Assess and mitigate risks associated with technical procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory compliance. Develop contingency plans to minimize potential impacts on operations. 7. Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards. 8. Analyse pricing trends and market dynamics to negotiate competitive pricing and achieve cost reductions without compromising quality. 9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to support project requirements and achieve cost-saving initiatives. 10. Prepare regular reports and analysis on procurement activities, including spending trends, vendor performance, and cost-saving initiatives. Present findings to senior management as needed
