Job title : Sr Design Engineer - Electrical Job family : Engineering Department : Airports Reporting to Engineering Director/Team lead Responsibility : Individual Contributor Location : Chennai, India Summary An Electrical engineer with minimum 7 to 12 years proven experience in the design of power systems. Electrical or Electronics Engineering Degree Languages - English is a must, German desired Main tasks & key responsibilities Design of Pit systems, Power distribution and control panels Modification of 400Hz, 28VDC products Key internal and external interfaces Internal Stakeholders: Project Managers (Pit systems and 400/50Hz Distribution systems), 400Hz Converter Product Managers Hard skills Should have an in-depth knowledge in the design of Electrical systems, Power Distribution, and Control Panels. Should have an in-depth knowledge in the selection of Enclosures, Switchgears, Cables, Control Elements, Motors, VFDs etc. Should be aware of Explosion-proof concepts to be implemented in the systems. Should be able to understand and design the Cable harnesses. Should be aware of IEC, VDE, and UL standards applicable to Converters preferably at 400Hz. Should be able to understand the existing 400Hz systems and modify it with respect to the project requirements. Should have good knowledge of power electronic devices, magnetics etc. Knowledge of E plan software is desirable. Should be able to understand the PCB design and integration with the system. Should have knowledge of BACnet, MODBUS interfaces.
