Sr Data Scientist

Role Overview: Devo is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Data Scientist to join their security products team, working on developing the world's first and only Autonomous SOC. As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing threat detection algorithms and managing the entire machine learning life cycle. Key Responsibilities: - Transfer applied research to technologies effectively - Utilize expertise in cyber security concepts such as malware detection, fraud prevention, adversary tradecrafts, and emerging threats - Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines using Spark/PySpark and big data frameworks - Optimize and troubleshoot complex queries for efficient data retrieval and performance - Build and deploy AI-ML models across diverse data sources for valuable insights extraction - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs and provide actionable data solutions - Document code and processes for clarity and knowledge transfer Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (a plus) - Minimum 5 years of experience in query tuning, performance tuning, implementing, and debugging Spark/Pyspark and other big data solutions - Proficiency in anomaly detection, clustering statistics, time series analysis, reinforcement learning, generative AI/agentic frameworks, and large language models - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Company Details: Devo values its employees and provides numerous opportunities within a hyper-growth organization.
