Sr. Civil Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage civil engineering design and construction projects from start to finish. Oversee and supervise junior engineers and technical staff, providing mentorship and guidance. Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications for civil infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, drainage, utilities, and foundations). Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Conduct site inspections and provide technical expertise on construction issues. Coordinate with architects, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution. Review and approve project designs and documents for compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Perform risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies during all phases of project development. Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments, providing reports and recommendations. Identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within financial constraints. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, technologies, and codes. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 7+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management. Strong knowledge of civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit). Experience in the design and execution of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, utilities, etc. Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth understanding of relevant local, national, and international standards and regulations (e.g., building codes, environmental regulations). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
