As a skilled and experienced Lead Design Engineer specializing in Transmission Line projects, you will play a crucial role in the design and engineering department. With a minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the Power Transmission & Distribution industry, your expertise in transmission line components and foundation structures will be instrumental in ensuring the success of projects ranging from 132 kV to 765 kV. Key Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive design and analysis of transmission lines, covering tasks such as route alignment, tower spotting, profile drawing, and tower optimization. - Utilize software like PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, and STAAD PRO for structural design and detailing of towers (lattice/monopole). - Conduct conductor and ground wire sag-tension calculations to ensure optimal performance. - Prepare and review engineering drawings including tower GA, shop drawings, BOM, and stringing charts. - Evaluate technical offers, provide engineering support during bidding and execution stages, and prepare technical specifications and design basis reports. - Coordinate with project management, procurement, and construction teams to maintain design integrity and meet project timelines. - Interact with clients and consultants for approvals and technical discussions. Key Skills Required: - Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, SAG10, AutoCAD, and MS Office. - Thorough understanding of transmission line materials, tower loading, and design standards. - Experience in GIS-based route alignment and terrain analysis is a plus. - Strong communication skills and the ability to lead junior engineers and draftsmen. - Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Qualification Required: - B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution. - M.Tech in Structural Engineering (preferred but not mandatory). You will be an integral part of the team, contributing your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive successful completion of transmission line projects in Noida, India.
