At 2Base, we are rebuilding the Business Analyst function into a world-class, product-minded, clarity-driven team. This role is not a documentation role. It is not a screen updater role. It is not a support role. This is a core Business Analyst position responsible for functional modelling, system reasoning, requirement clarity, and building the foundation for correct development.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be the functional brain of the project. You will ensure that the right problem is understood, broken down, analyzed, validated, clarified, communicated, and owned end-to-end. You will drive requirement precision, reduce rework, and enable confident and aligned delivery across teams.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead requirement workshops, client calls, and discovery discussions to understand business needs clearly.
-
Ask deeper questions, challenge assumptions, and validate the true business intent behind every requirement.
-
Convert ambiguous client inputs into structured, logical, and actionable functional understanding.
-
Break large features into modules, workflows, components, and clear dependencies.
-
Build strong system-level understanding involving APIs, integrations, data flow, and backend considerations.
-
Translate business processes into functional logic that development teams can execute.
-
Decompose requirements into use-case flows, system behaviours, edge cases, alternate paths, validation rules, and dependencies.
-
Prepare high-quality documentation, including BRD, FRD, SRS, workflows, state diagrams, data-flow diagrams, API requirement specs, and acceptance criteria.
-
Ensure all documentation is clear, logical, structured, testable, and ready for developers and QA to use.
-
Collaborate closely with developers, architects, QA, and product owners to validate feasibility and align understanding.
-
Ensure QA teams can derive test cases effectively from your functional logic and acceptance criteria.
-
Communicate confidently with clients, handle requirement discussions smoothly, and clarify misunderstandings immediately.
-
Push back politely on unclear or changing requirements and ensure final decisions are documented properly.
-
Maintain requirement traceability throughout the lifecycle and ensure zero ambiguity during handover to development.
-
Own the entire requirement lifecycle from discovery to development readiness with high accountability.
-
Drive clarity across teams by ensuring every requirement is complete, validated, and logically consistent.
