Sr. Academic Counselor

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Academic Counselor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the education sector, with strong skills in counseling, lead management, and team coordination. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive admissions targets, mentor junior counselors, and ensure an exceptional student experience throughout the enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the counseling team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly enrollment targets.
• Conduct counseling sessions with prospective students/parents/clients to explain educational programs, benefits, and career outcomes.
• Manage end-to-end admission processes — from lead generation to conversion.
• Plan and execute effective calling and follow-up strategies to maximize conversions.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and follow-ups in CRM tools.
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to optimize campaign outcomes.
• Handle escalated queries and objections professionally and ensure timely resolutions.
• Track team performance and provide regular updates and reports to management.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and student preferences to enhance counseling effectiveness.
• Contribute ideas to improve student engagement and overall counseling efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Academic Counselor or in a similar role within the education industry.
• Skills:
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle high call volumes and maintain consistent performance.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Personality: Smart, confident, target-driven, and capable of mentoring a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Prior experience in student counseling, admissions, or educational sales.
• Proven record of achieving and exceeding enrollment targets.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team effectively.
