Job Description - SQL Developer Location: New Delhi Position brief: The SQL Developer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. The role will drive the design and implementation of high-performance database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL. The role is responsible for ensuring database security, performance tuning, and managing ETL processes. Primary Role & Responsibilities: The Primary role of the candidate will be: Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Design and implement high-performance database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server/Oracle, and MySQL. Perform database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems. Ensure database security, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) implementation and user access control. Conduct database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization for efficient execution. Develop and manage ETL processes to support data migration and integration. Create and maintain Oracle/MySQL automation tasks for database maintenance. Provide support for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Review and analyse business report requirements and develop reporting solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and system enhancements. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Work Experience and Qualification: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in SQL development, database administration, and query optimization. Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and T-SQL/PL-SQL programming. Experience in performance tuning, execution plans, and database profiling. Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, disaster recovery solutions, and database replication. Experience in creating and managing ETL pipelines and data migration processes. Experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and database security best practices. Proficiency in writing optimized Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and indexing strategies. Understanding of cloud database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud, etc. ) is a plus Required Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
