Sql Developer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented SQL Developer with hands-on experience to join our company. As part of a fast-paced software product organization, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing and managing databases that power our core products and internal systems. You will work closely with the engineering team and QA to ensure high-quality data operations and performance.

Role & responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, views and functions.
• Design, build, manage relational database schemas and data models for product features.
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks (indexing, query tuning, partitioning).
• Support ETL processes, data integration tasks and data migration activities.
• Ensure data availability, accuracy, consistency and security across environments.
• Work closely with software developers to integrate SQL logic with application code.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and product release cycles.
• Develop, maintain database documentation and data flow diagrams.
• Assist QA teams in preparing test data and validating data-related features.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as SQL Developer in a software product or IT environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server).
• Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Understanding of relational database design, normalization, indexing strategies and transactions.
• Experience creating stored procedures, triggers, functions and views.
• Familiarity with ETL tools, data extraction and transformation pipelines.
• Basic understanding of backend technologies (e.g., .NET, Java, Python, Node.js) is a plus.
• Experience working with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL) is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Good-to-Have:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based product development teams.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to data warehousing concepts or BI tools.
