Job Description

DBA Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Objective:

Key Responsibilities:

Experience – 8+ Years

Perform daily health checks and deliver KPI reports.
Review and manage SQL Agent jobs and Windows Task Scheduler tasks.
Monitor systems, manage alerts, and handle severity incidents as per defined matrix.
Oversee change and patch management, including Windows updates, SQL Cumulative Updates (CUs), schema/application changes, and maintain proper documentation.
Implement and enforce security and compliance controls (HIPAA, SOC-2).
Prepare and present KPI reports to stakeholders.
Continuously optimize database performance (index tuning, storage management, query optimization, structural improvements).
Support enhancements to improve performance and scalability.
Collaborate with development teams for troubleshooting in non-production environments and application-layer issues.
Conduct reviews and align database environment with planned upgrades.

Technical Expertise:

Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server instances, Availability Group replicas, agent jobs, and related OS resources.
Proven ability in troubleshooting and providing proactive solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
