SQL Database Developer

As an experienced Database Administrator with 5 to 6 years of experience, your role will involve optimizing SQL code, monitoring database system performance, and enhancing query throughput. You will be responsible for processing work accurately and in a timely manner, as well as collaborating with developers to improve applications and establish best practices. Troubleshooting database-related issues promptly and providing guidance and support to Application Developers will be key aspects of your job. Additionally, you will assist with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning. Capacity building and training within the team will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Optimize SQL Code as necessary - Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput - Process work accurately and in a timely manner - Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices - Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion - Provide guidance and support to Application Developers - Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning - Training and Capacity building in and out peer Qualifications Required: - Very good technical skill in MS SQL Database Administration - Ability to work in a team and manage team members, if required - Excellent communication skills - Smart personality with good interpersonal skills This role is on a contractual/temporary basis for a duration of 12 months.
