Department: Research & Development Location: APAC-India-Pune Description We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our 3D manufacturing software team In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of complex 3D applications that drive cutting-edge innovations in engineering and manufacturing This is a complex process that requires an innovative way of thinking when it comes to something that hasn't been done before You will be part of a cross-functional and multiregional development organization utilizing a broad set of technologies and tools You will have the opportunity to interact and share experiences with colleagues from multiple countries and cultures that will help you to grow with us and develop your professional career Role expectations Ensure quality of the business-critical 3D software with objective testing come up with test strategies for software Create manual test cases as per Software requirements specifications Execute manual tests for software, visually inspect 3D objects, find patterns with strong passion to get to the bottom of the things Represent SQA in project level discussions Collaborate with cross functional teams and teams from other locations Act as a stakeholder in product definition from conception to initial release to mass scaling, contribute to definition of product success criteria Work collaboratively with product owner in analyzing specifications and deriving detailed requirements Work closely with Software Development Engineer in Test to automate manual tests for software functionality Iterate with stakeholders, business owners, software developers and internal end-users to understand different aspects of the features Create bugs and work with bugs throughout their life cycle What We're Looking For In this role, you'll need ? 6+ years of manual testing experience Manual testing experience of complex desktop applications, 3D / CAD / CAM software etc Experience with Bug tracking tool like JIRA Experience of working in Agile oriented teams Thorough understanding of the role and best practices of QA, testing processes and methodologies Analytic way of thinking, ability to systematize information and learn complex things quickly Attention to detail, ability to follow test plans/strategies At least graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Nice To Have Exposure to 3D tools/CAD applications like SolidWorks, Geomagic, or Magics Experience with automation testing in Python using pytest framework Experience in non-functional testing (e g , performance, scalability) Experience working in distributed team across locations Experience with Git/bitbucket, bamboo, CI/CD pipelines etc Applicant Privacy Policies Review our Applicant Privacy Policies for additional information Global Diversity Statement At Align, we believe in the power of a smile, and we know that every smile is as unique as our employees As we grow, we are committed to building a workforce rich in diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences, fostering a culture of open-mindedness and compassion We live our company values by promoting healthy people and healthy communities, all with the intent of changing millions of lives, one unique smile at a time Equal Opportunity Statement Align Technology is an equal opportunity employer We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities in all our practices, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, marital status, protected veteran status, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other legally protected category Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country for which they are applying, and employment eligibility will be verified as a condition of hire
