Key Responsibilities Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for end-users. Installation & Configuration: Setting up, installing, and configuring new computer hardware, software, and peripherals. System Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, applying patches, and updating software and operating systems to ensure optimal performance. User Support: Providing support to employees for various technical problems, often through phone, email, or in-person assistance. Workstation Setup: Setting up new employees' workstations with the necessary hardware, software, and network access to enable them to perform their duties. Escalation: Escalating unresolved or complex issues to specialized IT teams when unable to resolve them independently. Training: Educating users on new software tools, company IT policies, and basic computer maintenance. Equipment Management: Maintaining an inventory of IT equipment and placing orders when needed. Remote Support: Conducting remote troubleshooting to minimize user downtime and address issues quickly. Required Skills Technical Skills: Strong understanding of various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), hardware, software, and networking. Problem-Solving: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Customer Service: Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with users, provide clear explanations, and ensure a positive support experience. Documentation: Ability to document technical issues and solutions, often using IT ticketing systems. Time Management: Ability to multitask and manage workload effectively, responding promptly to urgent requests.
