Job Description Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings and design documents for mechanical equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, air separators, and other static equipment. Ensure design compliance with international standards such as ASME, TEMA, API, or IS codes. Work on AutoCAD to produce fabrication drawings, layout drawings, and detailed manufacturing documents. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including process, piping, structural, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of equipment design. Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and client meetings to resolve design queries. Provide support during fabrication and construction phases, including resolving site issues related to mechanical drawings or specifications. Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions, and design history as per project guidelines. Collaborate closely with the company project engineering team and ensure timely submission of deliverables. Requirements Skills and Experience Required: Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 5 to 8 years experience in mechanical equipment design and drafting, preferably in EPC or process plant projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Good understanding of pressure vessel and heat exchanger design fundamentals. Experience working on coke oven, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial projects is preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and equipment datasheets. Familiar with design codes such as ASME Section VIII, TEMA, IS 2825, etc.
